We are down to 16 days until Eric comes home. I went to work Thursday and Friday which was so much fun, but also so stressful. Aaron and Orren went to daycare for the first time in almost a year. I was so worried about how they would do, but I shouldn’t have worried. They are so friendly and good with other people that there were no problems. The older kids were a bit of a different story, but hopefully that will straighten out as they get used to the idea.
I never knew I could be that tired though. I had to get up at 4 am to get ready and walk the dogs and then get the boys ready and leave by 5:15. That was a long day for me. Then I did it all again the next day. At least the kids let me sleep in this morning. I did have a lot of fun at work so that was awesome, but I called home about a dozen times and called the daycare a lot too. I am getting so excited to see Eric again after this long. I have been sending him “dirty mail” and he keep laughing at my ability to find things that really make him laugh. Or want to take a cold shower. Those cards and letters have kept us connected because we have the same sense of humor and if I can make him laugh it is worth it.
I am taking the kids to get their pictures taken this afternoon. This will be the first professional picture we have gotten of all 5 of them together. I can’t wait, but hope everyone can cure the cases of the grumpies we have this morning before we get there. I am not sure why everyone is so testy with each other today, but I will have to do a little Sherlock Holmes and get to the bottom of it.
